Alloy Steel

Carbon Steel

Carbon steel is the purest form of steel that is composed of mainly iron and up to 2% carbon. Carbon steel is categorised as either low/mild (up to 0.30% carbon), medium (between 0.31% and 0.60% carbon), and high (between 0.61% and 1.50% carbon) — the higher the carbon content, the stronger the material is. Although vulnerable to corrosion, it is affordable and durable, making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from pipes to beams. It is a common material that is used for fabricating structural components in the industrial sector. 

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is known for a chromium content of at least 11%. From ferritic to duplex stainless steel, there are different stainless steel types available. It has many benefits including resistance to corrosion and staining, high durability, and low maintenance. When heated, their strength can also be improved. Like carbon steel, stainless steel is usually used for the fabrication of structural components for industrial applications.
